Making students more interested!

As a former lead teacher at a daycare, I had to think of many learning teaching techniques in order for me to teach my students. At that time my students were around the ages of 2 1/2 to 3 years old were as I had to come up with different ways to teach them and at the same time a way for them to learn the material and along with becoming interested.
I believe that I had applied the levels of thinking to all my lesson plans during my time working at the daycare: Bloom's Taxonomy 😏(Created in 1956 by Benjamin Bloom)
Because I have used probably all levels of thinking: Create, Evaluate, Analyze, Apply, Understand, and Remember. I honestly wasn't aware that there was such a level of thinking chart until learning and teaching my self the reading. This is a great framework, where I believe all educators should learn how to use it in order for them to teach and execute the right way. it is also a good way to apply it to your own personal world experiences.

If you check this out http://www.celt.iastate.edu/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/RevisedBloomsHandout-1.pdf  Table 2-The Cognitive Processes dimension will explain how to use it and how it all applies to it, regarding that it shows that all activities involve lower and higher thinking.

Let's move into talking about constructive classes(student-centered) vs old school( teacher-centered).

As a future evolved teacher, I will incorporate the constructive way of teaching and learning, because as I grew up I wished that we had classrooms where we can have some sort of student-centered activities than just teacher-directed classroom. I believe nowadays students have the advantage to be more involved in classroom activities and discussions because they are learning in their own way instead of listening to someone talk for 50 min. They are able to have a steady grade and enjoy school at the same time. 😉
I also believe that by having a majority of teachers using the flipped classroom way, it can have more positive results on assessments and scores for all students. I believe if you give the student an intro to the lesson for the next day, they will be more aware of what they are learning and be able to have more answers to the teacher's questions. By having this teaching technique, it can enhance the learning of both the teacher and student in the classroom. As a student, I am currently in a class where I believe my Professor is using the flipped classroom idea, because he gives us resources, whereas, we are responsible to read and learn. Then the next time we meet, we are all prepared to talk about and relate to other experiences.

this week reading these reading and researching more into it, helped me think about many ways to make my future class focus and interested at the same time.
